4 COURSE LEVELS Each course is given a level which refers to the difficulty of the course. (i.e. 4, 3.5, 3, 2, No Level) Each student is expected to take four leveled courses per year. Final grades are weighted with this level to determine class rank at the end of the junior year.

20 CTC Applications We will accept late applications
First acceptance list: End of March Will receive acceptance notice from the GACTC For recommendation day, everyone should list AAHS electives in case they do not get accepted at the GACTC

Students receive Recommendation Sheets February 6 – March 6, 2017: Individual Scheduling Meetings with AAHS counselors

January 31, 2017 Will receive sheets in first period Take to each solid subject teacher You will choose four .5 electives or two 1.0 electives. You will be required to choose 5 alternative electives. Sheets will be collected 8th period If absent, get recommendations on your first day back CTC students: drop off worksheets in Counselors’ Office before leaving

24 TIPS Art 1 at the High School must be taken before any other Art class
Dance and Swimming may be taken for the PE requirement if available. P.E. and Health must be scheduled in 10th Academic students may attend the CTC, but summer school will be needed. Drivers Education is not available to 10th graders

26 SUMMER SCHOOL Dates: Session 1 – June 12 – June 27, Session 2 – July 5 – 20, 2017 Times: PE: 8:30-11:00 or 1:00-3: Other Courses: 7:30 am –12:30pm Cost: $75 per class Courses: Remedial: English, Civics, Science & Math (courses available based upon enrollment) Enrichment: P.E., Driver Ed., & Health **Due to safety/staffing – No “doubling up” on PE. Summer School Applications available in May from the AAJHS Counseling Office Return with payment to the AAHS Main Office
