Conversation point – the recent social conversation on “body shaming” . Too many people put a great deal of their identity into their appearance. We all know many people who are attractive, but cannot be satisfied or happy about it because they cannot see it. Why not? It is not JUST that the world offers too many alternatives, but that they may have the “wrong eye”

The good eye sees the good in all things -It is generous in intent and behavior -It finds those things that are worthy of praise The evil eye seeks and finds the evil of things -It is selfish in its purpose -It finds only what is wrong

19. Using the Gospel Mirror
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does James 1:23-25
