4. The Sevens of the Gospel of John
Seven Waters:
Water of John’s testimony
Water of unclean and clean
Water of the new birth
Water of everlasting life
Water of healing
Water of divine authority
Water of sacrifice

5. The Conversation
Unusual because: 1. Jesus spoke with a woman 2. Jesus spoke with a Samaritan 3. Jesus spoke with a disreputable person

6. The Conversation
She repeatedly seems to attempt to provoke Jesus: “OUR Father Jacob” (vs. 12) “Worship on THIS mountain” (vs. 20)

7. The Living Water
The great events of the Old Testament: The Passover Manna from heaven Water from the Rock and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:4
The kingdom was close to arriving with John and Jesus; thus it was something Jesus was about to establish

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified John 7:37-39
The kingdom was close to arriving with John and Jesus; thus it was something Jesus was about to establish

There are TRUE worshippers They are the ones our Father is seeking They will worship in TRUTH They will worship in SPIRIT
The kingdom is interchangeable with the church (universal)

They will worship in SPIRIT

18. “Now We Believe”
The Woman had a choice – to be offended or impressed Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world." John 4:42
