Played 4 years of lacrosse at Owatonna High School. Played 3 years at Winona State University. Coached 2 years at Winona State University. Graduated from Winona State University in May of 2016. Currently on her second year coaching at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. President of the North Central Women’s Lacrosse League. Secretary of the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association. Recently engaged.

Nike Alliance Parka II 45 Jackets for Varsity and JV Number will be stitched on inside for ID Purposes only Jacket # may not match Player # will do our best Will be handed out on Equipment Day They are to be used for Lax Functions only, not around town at Target, etc. Can wear to school on game days only. Prefer to have them left locked in your locker. Your responsibility to take care of them. Taking $300 Equipment Deposit

All School Spring Sports Activities Parent & Student Meeting March 7th Sports Physical needs to be on file prior to March 23rd (good for 3 years) Register through the LNHS Website by March 23rd (before Spring Break) Tryouts will be April 4-6th, with Teams announced 6th. First Team Practice and Equipment Handout April 7th. Varsity only Scrimmage against Edina April 12th. Games are pretty consistently Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 18th. Assume Saturday Practices Pasta Sr. Houses on 4/26, 5/1, 5/24, 5/30 Team Green Mill after Varsity Games on 4/27, 5/4, & 5/18 Fundraising Blitz March Ames Arena 10:30. Babes Fundraiser Saturday April 29th. Youth Night May 2nd vs Lakeville North Turf Teacher’s Appreciation Night May 16th Sr. Night May 25th Brackett’s Sunday June 4th. Sections Begin May 31st State Tournament June Minnetonka

Captains Practices Ames has late ice out, will not be available until mid-March Booked 8 Savage Dome Feb 12, 18, 21, 23, 28; March 1, 6, 8 Time will be 4-5pm Ames March 14, 16, 21, 23 from 3-4:30. Hired Maria Slusser from MN Elite to run (6) of the Captains Practices Cost will be included within your Booster Check you are writing tonight. Memo Line: Booster Fee $130 and Captains Fee $50.

Mi5 Fitness @ LNHS Dance Studio
We have hired Mi5 Fitness for a Pre Season Workout Routine They will provide a Certified Instructor North High School Dance Studio from 3-4pm 2/27, 3/2, 3/7, 3/9, 3/13, 3/15, 3/20, 3/22 Attendance will be taken at each Session Mi5 will bill each player individually $6/Session If you pre-paid for Mi5 Spring Classes that were cancelled. Balance will be transferred to these classes.

U of M Girls Lacrosse Clinic – March U of M Rec Dome from 8:30 – 10:30 Cost is $25/Player. Cabin Fever 4 v 4 Tournament – March Eden Prairie Dome from 9-1:30 MN Elite Spring Tune Up – April Champions Hall in Eden Prairie from 9:30 – 11:30 (this is Sunday at the end of our Spring Break)

Coaching Purpose Statement
We will stress the importance of being accountable and responsible through team unity, discipline, mental toughness, and self confidence while showing exceptional sportsmanship, by giving our athletes the opportunity to achieve their full potential through sport.

Team Rules Attendance: Mandatory
Any absence not pre-approved by a Coach is considered un-excused. 1st un-excused: you will not start. 2nd un-excused: you will sit for half of a game 3rd un-excused: meeting w/ athlete, parent, and coaching staff

Team Rules Continued: Game Day Procedures:
Away games be 15 min early for bus: Remember no bus ride home, need to arrange your own transportation Home games: Varsity will watch 1st half of JV then Warm-up. JV will watch at least 1st half of Varsity. Lettering Policy: Practice & Dress with Varsity Team 50% or more of the season Maintains Eligibility to compete per LNHS & MSHSL Academic & Social Policies Quitting disqualifies you for lettering

Expectations of our Athletes
Show Respect to your teammates, coaches, parents, opponents, and yourself. No cell phone use during lacrosse related activities, this includes the locker room. Come to Practice/Games with a positive attitude, ready to work hard and prepared to have fun. Leave non-lacrosse issues off of the field Communicate: 1st Captains then Coaches Thank your Parents everyday for giving you the support and opportunity to play this awesome game.

Expectations of our Wonderful Parents
Commitment to our Team Rules, Goals and Philosophy If an issue arises, encourage your athlete to approach Captains 1st then Coaches 2nd. Abide by the 24 Hour Rule: No communication with any of our Coaches 24 hours after a game. If you text/ any of us, it will not be answered for 24 hours. Exception to this would be game injury follow up. Keep your athlete focused on lacrosse especially during games. VOLUNTEER: we can’t do this with out YOU!

New Trainer at LNHS: Paul Eberts from Institute for Athletic Medicine Office Hours are 2:30 – 5:30pm Approved Dr. for Concussion Protocol: Dr Siatta Fairview Sports & Orthopedic Care On site visits by Dr. Jason Lee from Fairview S&O Care If you do see a Doctor for a sports related injury other than these Doctors, you will need a note given to Paul before you are allowed to return to practice. Physical Therapist will be at LNHS every other Wednesday All athletes will go through IMPACT Testing at no charge If you need a retest during the season they would be $5 Coaches will have weekly meetings with Paul to review injured athletes.

Tryouts & Team Sizes All interested and academically eligible high school LNHS Students. Varsity will roster 18 Field Athletes JV will roster 22 Field Athletes 8th Grade Athletes are encouraged to attend Captains and Tryouts. We do not want to cut players. But High School Athletes will be given first consideration for roster spots, because 8th Graders have a Lakeville Association 7/8 Grade Team. All 8th Graders are encouraged to register for LLA so they have an idea of potential numbers, if you make the Varsity or JV Team LLA Funds will be refunded. Jersey #: TBD Clothing has last name or nickname for ID. JV Practice Times will be from 3-5pm on the grass fields Varsity Practice times will be 5:30-8pm on the turf, except on Wednesday’s we will practice with JV on the Grass Remember to Register on LNHS Website for Lacrosse by March 23rd, can’t tryout if not registered. If you don’t make a team you will be refunded your money.

Tryout Expectations April 4-6th from 3-5pm on the turf (Team decisions on the 6th: individual meetings) The full tryout schedule is still being finalized by the coaches, and will be distributed before we start 300 yard sprint test (25 yards x 12) Goal is under 67secs Wall Ball Test: Will send out a Youtube Link Showing this Right Hand, one cradle in between Left Hand, one cradle in between Catch switch Right, quick stick Left, quick stick Goal: 40 in a minute with no drops
