1 NEC UNIVERGE SV9500 SV9500 Presentation
February 2016 NEC Enterprise Solutions Target Audience: This course is meant for Sales (Support) Engineers of Channels, Partners and NEC NSO’s who support account managers, make solutions designs, answer RFP’s and prepare configurations and quotes. Course Objectives: After successful completion of this SV8500/SV9500 Sales Support Training, the trainees are able to answer RFPs and Customer Requests of the mainstream Business (Enterprise Customers; SV8500/SV9500-based Solutions, including Applications). Furthermore the trainees should be capable of creating Solution Proposals and quotes for Customer Orders, by means of the Sales Ordering tool Prophix. Entry Requirements: The trainee has substantial knowledge of existing Enterprise platforms, i.e. SV8500, SV7000, or NEAX2400IPX (the latter for ME-market only), and Applications. Books: Student Handbook, with printed slide package, notes and background information The slide package (without notes) will also become available on BusinessNet for self-study purposes. Project support can be requested from the Sales Support team (CASS) at the NEC EMEA Headquarters in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Project Offers/Quotes can be requested via the RAP procedure, see RAP page on BusinessNet (

17 SV9500 Roadmap

18 SV9500 Roadmap – 2016 UG50 Enhancement Planned GA June 2016
UMGi Architecture - SV9500 V2 Project-Base Feb 2016 Data Center Headquarters 9500 9500 9500 9500 Remote Location UG50 main CPU Survivable card 9500 9500 9500 9500 8x SV9500 nodes/instances into one Polycom MCU Video Conferencing solution - SV9500 V3 planned GA Q4 2016 Virtualized SIP trunk - SV9500 V2 GA Jan 2016 SIP trunk network The most significant enhancement that will become available with SV9500 V2 is the UMGi Architecture. The UMG system is NOT a new concept. The UMG system has been available in America as a TDM system. The UMG system was divided into smaller fragments, reassembled via IP and given an option to be a virtual machine. The result is a super flexible 24,576 port system. As well as the central control system, our remote solution, UG50 is enhanced. It will be able to used in the location diversity environment. And new SR-MGC will be mounted in UG50 for a remote survivable option. Addition to one-to-one video communication, video conferencing using MCU will be supported. And MG-SIP goes to virtual together with SV9500.

19 SV9500 V2 GA Jan 2016 Only software update with new features PCPro
UMGi Architecture (Project-Base) Centralized Resource license control – distributed license by programming Deployment on SV9500 Appliance Server chassis, Virtual Machine Geographical Redundancy feature (Project-Base) [I-21] Internal Zone Paging – Enhancement [P-89] Progressive Paging – VS32 Virtualized MG-SIP USB Memory Stick Voice Recording on DT830DG/CG PCPro Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 Windows Server 2012 R2 New DT820 Jade terminals ITY-6D – 6 line key display 10/100 ITY-6DG – 6 line key display 10/100/1000 ITY-8LDX – 8 line key single page DESI-less 10/100 ITY-32LDG – 32 line key DESI-less 10/100/1000 ITY-6D/6DG ITY-8LDX/32LDG

20 SV9500 UMGi Architecture – SV9500 V2
SV9500 Remote Node (Appliance Server Model) LAN/WAN (Standard Server Model) SV9500 Central Control Node or 1 SV9500 Central Node + max 3 SV9500 Remote Nodes (all Standard Server Model) on ONE IT Server UMGi System can consist of up to 8 SV9500 Nodes; i.e., the SV9500 Central Control Node with up to 7 Remote Nodes (Appliance Server Model or Standard Server Model) SV9500 Central Control Node and up to 3 Remote Nodes (all Standard Server Model) can be combined on ONE NEC Express 5800 FT or standard IT Server(s) Remote Nodes offer Survivability in case of Central Node or LAN/WAN failure Can support up to 24,576 ports ( Stations and 4000 Trunks) Maintains “one PBX office data” for all UMGi Nodes Full feature transparency among nodes – It is truly one system UMGi available in SV9500 V2 on Project-Base only, UMGi licenses available in Feb 2016 Prophix The most significant enhancement that will become available with SV9500 V2 is the UMGi Architecture. The UMG system is NOT a new concept. The UMG system has been available in America as a TDM system. The UMG system was divided into smaller fragments, reassembled via IP and given an option to be a virtual machine. The result is a super flexible 24,576 port system. UMGi Architecture makes an SV9500 Central Control Node with up to 7 SV9500 Remote Nodes into one big system. It is similar to NEC’s clustering solution FCCS, but the UMGi system is a true one system, maintained by one office data. Remote Node offers Local Survivability in case the Central Control Node fails or can no longer be reached in case of a data network (LAN/WAN) failure.
