2 A QUICK REMINDER: Make sure all water breaks, bathroom breaks, pencil sharpening, backpack cleaning, etc… are done BEFORE the bell rings. Do not get out of your seat without permission. If you are eating, put it away or throw it away. Do NOT shoot trash into the trash can. Be ready to work and stay on task.

Do oral pres. checklist* Due at end of period* HW: Study your speech and memorize it. You will not be able to get a 4 unless you at least memorize MOST of it. PRESENTATION DATES : PER 3=THURS, PER 4=FRI Objective: Using a checklist, SWBAT identify problem areas in a partner’s oral presentation. In a speech, SWBAT clearly articulate the setting & events of a story as well as a character’s personality.

4 FINISH WRITING SPEECH I will give you ten minutes to work on finishing your speech. Make sure that you get as much done as possible because you will do your oral presentation practice afterward whether you are done or not!

11 MATERIALS NEEDED 60 copies of Oral Pres. Practioce checklist STANDARD Write and present a speech describing setting, events/actions, and a character’s personality traits based on those actions.
