Outline INSPIRE Roadmap CDDA and INSPIRE Protected sites Project roadmap and status The central point of work: CDDA and INSPIRE data model Project deliverables Project members

INSPIRE Implementation Roadmap Spatial data sets: Annex I: Protected sites NOV 2017 Annex III: Habitat and biotopes, Species distribution, Bio-geographical regions OCT 2020 Metadata: Should already be available INSPIRE services: Discovery, view, download, transformation services should be available (data not yet conformant to IR- ISDSS) http://inspire.ec.europa.eu/

CDDA and INSPIRE PS Thematic relationship: –National designated areas are provided in the CDDA priority data flow and are related to the INSPIRE theme Protected sites Project purpose: –Provide a solid conceptual data model (changed content + INSPIRE harmonisation) – a basis for a reporting –Provide an exchange data format – recommended in INSPIRE (GML) –Looking towards fulfilling both obligations and respecting timeline: INSPIRE PS: 23.11.2017 (04.02.2018 code lists) CDDA reporting obligation in 2018 –Requirement: EEA support to those not implementing INSPIRE! The pilot project demonstrates how to: –Use more structured and standardized data according to INSPIRE specifications –Continue using a common harmonised data model - compliant with INSPIRE PS - in the CDDA reporting

Roadmap: May 2015 – February 2016 / 4 phases I. Developing of new CDDA data model as extension of the INSPIRE Protected sites data model 5678910111212 II. Developing of the GML/XML schemas, keeping compliance with the INSPIRE GML schemas III. Test: providing data according to the new CDDA-INSPIRE application schema + validation IV. Report Current development – preparation 2.0: –UML data model –GML schema –Test GML transformed data –Discussion with Eionet NRC BD – questionnaire, webinar, workshop (feedback into development) Project roadmap and status Co-related !

Data modelling approach ………… Thematic requirements INSPIRE DS 1 INSPIRE DS 2 etc. One schema containing … A. Integrated approach Adding new application schema to cover other CDDA thematic data Used for CDDA & INSPIRE alignment – making one INSPIRE based data model Code lists INSPIRE PS + matching content thematic content not defined in INSPIRE specifications
