Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Without enough insulin, glucose builds up in the bloodstream. This buildup is called hyperglycemia.

Type 1 Diabetes is most often diagnosed in children, adolescents, or young adults.

Treatment aims at maintaining normal blood sugar levels through regular monitoring, insulin therapy, diet, and exercise.

As long you watch your levels and exercise you can live a normal healthy life.
