Priority Axis 1: Promoting Research and Innovation Enhancing Research and Innovation (R&I) Infrastructure and capacities to develop R&I excellence, and promoting centres in particular those of European Interest. Investment Priority 1b: promoting business investment in R&I developing links and synergies between enterprises, research and development centres and the higher education sector, in particular promoting investment in product and service development, technology transfer, social innovation, eco-innovation, public service applications, demand stimulation, networking, clusters and open innovation through smart specialisation; Supporting technological and applied research, pilot lines, early product validation actions, advance manufacturing capabilities, and first production, in particular in key enabling technologies and diffusion of general purpose. How it fits within the ESIF Strategy 2014 –

6 Objectives of the Accelerator Create a connected and supportive innovation ecosystem; Help SMEs understand demand, and test innovations from an early stage; Establish London as the place to develop next generation digital health products; Create jobs and contribute to wider economic growth and wealth creation by bringing new products and processes to market.

7 Delivery - Expected Outcomes Three 12 months long cohorts to support 30 SMEs each year through: Colocation and coordination support (through NHS Navigators, an online community, access to workspaces in London hospital sites); Bespoke support to help develop early pilots and product validation through our Innovation Voucher scheme, with NHS Navigators facilitating provision of access to a network of clinicians, advice on testing solutions to meet patients needs, and health economics; Support to achieve growth and scale: access to a network of digital health entrepreneurs, investors and companies; ad-hoc events (Boot camps, investor days); an Innovation Showcase at the end of the programme.
