2016 Program Updates One Program – eliminate ‘in-house’ and ‘travel’ - Strengthen the program One League - Streamline, simplify, league structure 8U/10U/12U play in the Suburban League and Over time -phase out (reduce) participation in the 3cv league Introduce 8U Evaluations vs Tryout FUTURE

2016 Program Updates Summer Team placement is based on your daughter’s age as of January 1 st 12U: Player born from 1/1/03 to 12/31/04 10U: Player born from 1/1/05 to 12/31/06 8U: Player born after 12/31/06 Note: Players born before 1/1/03 will continue to play in the 3CV league on either a 7th and 8th grade team or on a 9th through 12th grade team depending on the grade they are enrolled in during the current school year.

8U - Introduction 5| 8U: Player born after 12/31/06 (5-8 years old) Use Blue Pitching Machine 11” ball All players bat. 3 strikes/6 pitch limit. No balls/strikes called. 9 players in the field 3 outs/5 runs per inning Balanced teams

No registration is required. Each week will focus on different skills of the fastpitch softball game. Come to one or come to all three. Please bring to each clinic: ball glove, bat, tennis shoes, and helmet (if you have)

Evaluations All players encouraged to attend evaluations. Player and Parent Expectations Sportsmanship Lead by example on and off the field Let coaches coach Commitment Attend all practices Attend all games Attitude and Effort – commit to a fun season Communicate Let coaches know if you will miss practice or game ASAP Follow 24 hour rule for coach/parent interactions. Use Phone.

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENTS Volunteer = Fundraising. Concessions are our major fundraiser each year. Each family will be assigned 2-3 volunteer shifts per athlete. Shifts are typically 4 hours. All volunteer shifts are at Miller Park Volunteer assignments will include: Concessions Field maintenance A volunteer optout fee of $200 is available and due at registration. If you do not opt out of volunteer commitments, a $200 check will be collected and held until all commitments have been met. Save the Date --Tentative Weekends: 8U/Mother’s Day; 10U/Qualifier; 12U/State
