Habitat! If you want to hear about the pink river dolphin than why don’ t you read this report. The pink dolphin lives in slightly salty water. Normally the exiting pink dolphins can inhabit warm rivers of Asia and South America. Pink dolphins live in Orinoco river systems of South America. Another interesting fact is at other times they’re found in small family groups of 5-8 which seems to be led by an adult male. The river dolphin also inhabits rivers in Columbia, Ecuador, Northern Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia. The Bouto [pink dolphin] is found everywhere in Northern and Central South America from the Amazon river delta to the Andes. Now you can see pink dolphins on a trip to the Amazon!

BASIC FACTS These are some basic facts on the pink dolphin. Pink dolphins eat crustaceans, crabs, turtles, catfish, piranhas, and small fresh water fish. Males can be 6 feet to 9 feet. Females can be 6 feet to 8 feet. It can weigh up to be 350 pounds. This is a pretty amazing creature!

FUN DESCRIPTION After hearing this, you are going to think pink dolphins are the cutest dolphin ever. Pink dolphins have a hump on their back instead of a dorsal fin. These friendly, sensitive animals have a brain capacity larger than humans! Did you know that they are the largest of the freshwater dolphins. Another interesting fact Is it has a long beak with 24 to 34 teeth. It also has a round forehead. Its color changes according to its age. Pink dolphins are born grey and as they get older they get older they turn pink. Now you can find a pink dolphin if you see one in the wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FUN FACTS Here are some facts on the pink dolphin. Some people call pink dolphins Inia Geoffrenis. Something similar to this the pink dolphin is often called the boto or the buffeo. These were really cool fun facts.

Adaptations The pink dolphin uses a lot of things to help it survive in the wild. A great fact is it uses its flippers for steering in shallow waters. It has stiff hairs on its beak. These hairs give it a sense of touch. Pink dolphins have small eyes, and can’t see very well so it uses echolocation to find its way! These are some of the adaptations pink dolphins use.

ENDANGERMENT This is the story of the endangerment of the pink dolphin. It is endangered because of hunting, human pressures, and the wrecking of its habitat. The pink river dolphin used to be protected because people use to think it was bad luck to kill it. When other people came to the Amazon Rainforest, they did not know the tale that it was bad luck to kill the dolphin and they used its skin for a coat and its fat for cooking. Another reason for endangerment is that people take pink dolphins and put them in display for aquariums. When the pink dolphin gets captured to live in a aquarium they do not survive well. Now you can help the pink dolphin by saving its habitat and protecting the rainforest!!!!!!!!!!!!
