2. Cool Places Dolphins Live at Freshwater dolphins live in South America and Asia. Most freshwater dolphins live in fresh water. The La Plata River dolphins are the only fresh water dolphins that live in the cloudy and sea waters. The Chinese river dolphins live in Chinas Yangtze river and some connected lakes. The Ganges river dolphins live in Western India,Bangladesh, and Nepal.

3. Munch! Dolphins mostly eat fish. The Ganges and Indus River dolphins will also eat clams, mussels, and small shellfish. Spotted dolphins eat on small fish and squid. Spotted dolphin work together to catch and find food. Some dolphins eat squid and crabs. Spinner dolphins often hunt at night. Sharks eat dolphins but dolphins can hear when sharks are coming.

4. Surviving in the wild Dolphins go into small groups known as pods. Pods are a part of the large herds. Dolphins work together find food to survive in the water. Dolphins work together to run away when people are trying to get them. When dolphins are a family will help the dolphin in trouble.

5. Really cool facts about dolphins Spotted dolphins have 34 to 45 pairs of teeth. Dolphins are called small, toothed, whales. Atlantic white sided dolphins may reach 9 feet in length. The females of both species are slightly smaller than the males. The dorsal fin is tall and triangle shaped. The fliper are long and curved.
