MY REASONS

Question #1 Pomona’s major sport is soccer. The ethnic group mostly seen here is Latino it is obvious that soccer would be played most often.

Question #2 I think the reason why the majority of people chose 3 or more years was because some students play this sport on and off campus and have probably even played the sport since their child hood. Like me for example, I have been playing soccer since I was in the 5 th grade I wasn’t very good at it but the more I played the better performance I had. I think that is why students keep playing a sport for so long, if they like and want to get better at it they will do what ever it takes to perfect their performance. People always say practice makes perfect but that’s a lie to me I believe PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Question #3. This question really asked how often do they “practice”? Most people played the sport either off or on campus, 19 played on campus, 19 played off campus and 9 played both on and off. This question kind of distinguished the students who really love the sport because there is a difference between liking and loving

Question #4 in my opinion if the student really loves the sport then he or she won’t play just because it’s fun, they’ll play it because it means something to them.

Question #5. Since we live in Pomona and, like I said, the most popular sport played here is soccer I am not really surprised that the majority said no. Soccer is a very tiring sport and dangerous as well. Students may spend so much time practicing that one sport that they don’t have time for others since they also have homework to do and house chores their parents might give them.

Reflection What I’ve learned from this assignment is that many people have a lot in common here in school. I never thought that some one would actually like golf or that MMA was gaining a lot of popularity. My survey was just to see what sport was the most popular at Ganesha and my answers were exactly what I had expected in a way. I never thought that basketball was going to be the second most popular sport played. Even though some students didn’t really give much thought into what they were going to say, some did give some pretty good responses and to me the only answers I see valid in my survey are the ones that actually have to do with my questions.
