Warm Up Question – Make a Prediction: What do you think led to the changes in military strategy from the Civil War ( ) to World War I ( )? American Civil War Firing Line World War I Trench Warfare

1.Closely read each of the articles describing a technological advancement that was used during the Great War (WWI). 2.While reading and discussing the article (with your partner), mark the strengths, weaknesses (*if available), and impacts of each advancement in your packet. These markings will be used as text evidence in an Evaluative Written Response that will be completed later. 3.Identify the top advancements (based on your own opinion and supporting text evidence) that you believe had the biggest impact, which will be voted on later in class.
