Why Talk About Heaven? It is good to talk about heaven in times of persecution (Mt. 5:12; Lk. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:1; 1 Pet. 1:4) It is good to talk about heaven in times of distraction (Mt. 6:20; Mk. 10:21; Lk. 12:23) It is good to talk about heaven in times of trouble (Jn. 14:1-3) It is good to talk about heaven in times of error (1 Cor. 15:49)

Why Talk About Heaven? It is good to talk about heaven in times of worldliness (Phil. 3:20; Col. 3:1-3) It is good to talk about heaven in times of loss (1 Thess. 4:17) It is good to talk about heaven in times of death (2 Tim. 4:6-8,18) It is good to talk about heaven in times of apostasy (Heb. 6:4; 11:16; 12:22,23,25,26; 13:14)

Heaven And Why I Want to Go There Who Will Be There What Will Be There Why We Will Be There

Who Will Be There God (Rev. 4:1-11) Jesus (Acts 7:56; 1 Pet. 3:22; Rev. 5:6,13; 22:1) The Holy Spirit (Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6; 14:13) The holy angels (Mt. 18:10; Lk. 15:7,10; 22:43) The OT righteous (Mt. 8:11; Heb. 11:40; 12:1)

Who Will Be There The NT righteous (Lk. 10:20; Phil. 4:3) All who truly love the Lord (2 Tim. 4:8) All the innocent children (Mt. 19:13-14) All who were committed (Rev. 2:10; 6:9)

Will We Recognize One Another in Heaven? Individual personality exists after death (Ex. 3:6; Mt. 17:3-4; Lk. 13:28) Individual consciousness exists after death (Lk. 16:23-28) Individual reward exists after death (1 Thess. 2:19)

What Will Be There A place of beauty (Rev. 21:10; 22:14) A place of rest (Heb. 4:11; Rev. 14:13) A place of joy & comfort (Rev. 21:4) A place of righteousness (Rev. 20:11-15; 21:7-8,27; 22:14-15) A place of eternity (Mt. 25:46; Rev. 22:5,14)

Why We Will Be There To praise and serve God for all eternity (Rev. 14:1-5; 15:2-3; 22:3) To be rewarded with rest for overcoming (Rev. 2:7,11,17,26; 3:5,12,21; 7:13-17; 14:12-13; 19:6-9)

Why I Want to Go to Heaven HELL Because the only alternative is HELL (Mt. 7:13) Because God wants me to go (2 Pet. 3:9) Because loved-ones want me to go (Rev. 22:17)

Do You Want to Go to Heaven? Many who want to go will not make it (Mt. 7:21-23) Can you rejoice that your name is written in heaven (Lk. 10:20)? Do you have the hope of heaven (Col. 1:5)?
