The Source – an information and advice resource for young people

What is The Source website? provides information and advice for young people on the issues they may face in their everyday lives, and signposts to sources of support. We offer impartial information, enabling young people to make the right choices for them. The Source is managed by the Engagement Hub within Children and Young People's Services at Suffolk County Council. We are part of a larger service that works to support children, young people and families. The Source website is a key part of that support and it's accessible to everyone.

Re-design Following our face-to-face research with young people, The Source was redeveloped in September 2014 to suit the ways in which young people access online information and support. Key new features: New design An overview of all content is visible from the homepage Increased use of video content across the site The website is now mobile responsive

In the future, we will expand this to other areas such as careers, with advice on CV writing, applications, interview tips etc.

SAY provides a platform for young people to have their voice heard, and engage in politics and decision-making. The SAY e-newsletter is also an opportunity to promote services and opportunities to young people – get in touch to provide an article or to be added to the mailing list.
