Cardiovascular Exercise Megan Kula For Exercisers

Software/ Apps The Apple Watch utilizes the software of watchOS 2.1. Within this software, two specific components will be used for the purpose of measuring cardiovascular exercise. 1.Activity 2.Heart Rate

ActivityHeart Rate The Activity app provides a simple visual of your daily activity with three rings. The Stand ring shows how often you’ve stood up to take a break from sitting. The Move ring shows how many active calories you’ve burned. The Exercise ring shows how many minutes of activity you’ve completed. The Activity app pushes you for at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. This is made possible with the accelerometer inside the Apple Watch.Activity app The Heart Rate app measures your heart rate every 10 minutes throughout the day. Measuring heart rate during exercise is important to determine whether or not you are in the target heart rate zone.heart rate zone

Goals The overall goal is to use supporting evidence to prove that the Apple Watch (watchOS 2.1 software) is a “must have” for tracking cardiovascular activity. The plan is to show and prove that the Apple Watch can assist in increasing cardiovascular activity. Through using the watchOS 2.1 software, the goal is to increase physical activity to at least 30 minutes per day as well as keeping track of heart rate.

Why watchOS 2.1? The biggest perk of watchOS 2.1 is that it is software you wear on your wrist. You track your activity progress and your heart rate during cardiovascular exercise YOURSELF without a personal trainer needed. There are many more things you can utilize in this software, such as music, workout plans, maps, communication, etc. It is convenient, quick to use, and motivational for those who need the extra motivation. In order to use watchOS 2.1, you must buy the Apple Watch. Although the watch can be expensive, think about the money you would waste investing in a personal trainer, heart rate monitor, and activity tracker. WatchOS 2.1 does it all in one, plus more.

Importance of Monitoring Heart Rate Safety: Measuring heart rate during your workout will determine your heart rate and determine whether or not it is in the target zone. You do not want to be too much over your target heart rate. This will allow you to recognize your cardiac output and determine if you need to take a rest Success: Measuring heart rate can help you adjust your workout to favorable outcomes. If you are not in your heart rate zone for burning fat, you may want to increase intensity.

Benefits of Cardiovascular Exercise Increase exercise tolerance Reduction in body weight Reduction in blood pressure Reduction in LDL cholesterol and increase in HDL cholesterol Increase in insulin sensitivity Improve mental state
