Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the L ORD he is God; there is none else beside him (Deut. 4:35) Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the L ORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else (Deut. 4:39)

Hear, O Israel: The L ORD our God is one L ORD (Deut. 6:4) See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand (Deut. 32:39)

And thou shalt love the L ORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deut. 6:5)

And now, Israel, what doth the L ORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the L ORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the L ORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul(Deut. 10:12)

God’s Love For Mankind Mankind sometimes referred to as "the world" (Jn. 1:10) God has demonstrated His love in sending Jesus (Jn. 3:16) This is even more remarkable when we consider that we do not deserve this (Rom. 5:6-8)

Christ loves us too and is our sacrifice (Eph. 5:2) Consequently, God's grace is available to all (Titus 2:11)

We love him, because he first loved us (1 Jn. 4:19) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind This is the first and great commandment (Matt. 22:37-38)

How Does A Person Love God? Saying "I love you" isn't sufficient (Matt. 7:21) Love is demonstrated in a willingness to follow in obedience (Jn. 14:15, 23-24) Love is manifested in keeping God's commandments (1 Jn. 5:1-3)
