Mass Traffic Attack Video 2b Organisation and Presentation Continued

Now we have uncluttered our minds, it’s time to unclutter our work space. Keep interruptions to a bare minimum, if you keep getting interrupted your focus will be affected, especially if writing. Tidy up your work area – ensure all paperwork is either dealt with or put away, as you will always have an unconscious eye on all of it.

Now we look at the benefits of an organised computer. Getting your digital tools ready is just as important as keeping your mind and desk uncluttered, if you don’t know where you put your web editing software for instance, will take a chunk of your focus on designing your website away while you search your computer for it.

Ensure your business files and folders are kept in a place you can find them easily. I personally make small folders such as my business folder available to me on the desktop. I suggest you do this, and then place the following sub folders in the business folder. Archive Daily Projects Current Projects Future Resources

By using these 5 folders regularly you will find that you have quickly become organised. Make sure you look at all your files and delete the ones that are unnecessary, this way it limits the time to look at other things that will slow you down.

What distractions can we have, and how can we remove them to focus our minds? I have found my real Achilles heel are computer games, the urge for me to complete the next level becomes a terrible itch I need to scratch, I overcame that by taking all the game off my computer, and only having games on my console, then I reward myself by playing a game for a while when I am finished.

Other distractions include, , Facebook, Twitter and other social networks can be a major distraction, so set aside time after you finish work to deal with these. Skype, Windows Messenger, etc., can all be harmful as well, make sure again time is spent after you finish your work to deal with these. Make sure you only have the necessary files and folders open that relate to what you are working on at the time. Follow these guidelines and you will see an improvement in how you work, and how you feel.
