AGENDA  Today’s Goal: To provide an overview of the SAT ® School Day Implementation  SAT School Day Implementation Milestones  Test Center Setup  Communications Campaign  SAT Online Course  SSD Information  Registration  Test Center Staff Training Note: In this PPT, February administration deadlines are in blue, while April administration deadlines are in red. 2

Test Center Setup  All participating schools will be established as test centers for the SAT School Day administration  Previously established national Saturday SAT Test Centers will need to be set up specifically for the February 26 th /April 16 th school day administration.  A Test Center Intake Form captures all necessary information about the test center and all designated personnel  Test Center Intake Form due back to College Board on October 4 th / November 22 nd  Test Center Master Form is the agreement between the Test Center Supervisor and Educational Testing Service, the test administration vendor  All test centers targeted for setup by December 2 nd /January 20 th 3

Communications Campaign  Three-phase customized communications package aligned to key stakeholder groups  Announcement and Awareness: pre-test information to help students, parents and educators complete the necessary activities prior to test day  Readiness and Preparation: covers communications to school personnel to prepare and deliver the actual School Day experience, and important reminders to students and parents to make sure they know what to expect on test day  Post-Test Reminders and Updates: important information for school personnel, students and parents regarding activities and actions that occur after test day 4

The Official SAT Online Course TM  All participating students receive full access for one year  One access code per school  College Board support and resources:  Online training session for educators  12-module educator’s guide to facilitate student use of the Online Course  Comprehensive communications plan to students, parents and educators  Collateral materials for schools (flyers, letters, etc.)  Online Course Coordinators identified during test center intake process  Welcome Kits with access instructions will be delivered within 40 days after we receive the Test Center Intake Form 6

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities  Applications for students requesting accommodations can begin at anytime, and should be made as soon as possible  School verification: Coordinator verifies that student meets the College Board’s criteria and that the documentation meets College Board Guidelines  Documentation review: College Board reviews a student’s disability documentation to determine if it meets criteria and guidelines  Students with a previously issued College Board “SSD code” do not need to reapply for SAT School Day accommodations  All applications for accommodations are due by January 8 th /February 26 th to allow for adequate review and processing time before registration closes 8

Student Registration  Student Direct registration method  Students register using online vouchers  Vouchers are shipped via UPS to designated Registration Coordinators for distribution to students  Registration window  Registration opens: December 11 th /February 5 th  Registration closes: February 12 th /April 4 th 9

Test Center Staff Training  All instructions and materials are provided by College Board and ETS  The Test Center Supervisor and SSD Coordinator who will be administering the test to SSD Type II students are required to take the online training  The Test Center Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all other test center staff are properly trained and understand their roles  Test Center Supervisor training modules include:  Structure based on activities  Use of graphics to supplement text  “Best practices” screens  Quizzes with answers and rationale  Training launches: December 11 th /February 5 th  Training completed by: February 12 th /April 4 th 10

SAT School Day ENHANCED DATA & REPORTING Student and Item Level Data Test Form Data Skill Category Report SAT Skills Insight Provides aggregate student performance data at a school, district /state level including: Average proportion of questions in each skill group answered correctly by students Average scores by section Student score distribution Provides information on each question in the School Day test form including: Question type Skills tested Difficulty level Provides student and item level data including: Student profile information based on answers to the SAT Questionnaire Student performance on each test item Student scores and percentiles Provides information that links SAT scores to college readiness skills including: Academic skills tested on the SAT Academic skills typical of students who score within a particular score band Suggestions for how to improve those skills Available to 6-8 weeks after the School Day administration Aggregated + item-level reports to inform classroom instruction Reports include question type, difficulty level and content skills categories Below is an overview of the SAT School Day enhanced data & reporting package:
