© BRITISH NUTRITION FOUNDATION 2013 What does the word ‘breakfast’ mean? It means break fast. Over night you do not eat or drink which is like fasting. In the morning you break your fast by eating and drinking, so the first meal of the day is called Breakfast!

Do you have a different breakfast on special occasions, e.g. your birthday, when staying with friends or family, Christmas morning, Eid?
