Culture Vocabulary Ethnic Group- A group that shares a language, customs, and a common heritage Cultural Hearth- An area where culture originated and spread to other areas Diffusion- The spread of ideas, inventions, and patterns of behavior from one group to another Anthropologist- A scientist who studies culture Religion- An organized system of belief and practices, often centered on one or more gods
