MY WEB QUEST

Introduction We will be focusing on family. Emily wanted to find out from her brother what is a family. But he could not explain it simple enough for her. So Emily needs our help!

What do u know about family? A family is a group of people living together under the same roof and sharing responsibility. They may be related by marriage, birth, blood or adoption. There are also different types of family.

HERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS TO THINK ABOUT 1. Do you live with your family? 2. Is your family important to you? 3. Why? 4. Do you think having a family is important?

Task 1) Children will draw and label their family members accurately. 2) They will also create a family tree and label it accurately.

Process  Think about the persons with whom you live.  Think about who is the oldest person in the family.  Think about who is the youngest.  Think about the names of each family member.

Evaluation You will be evaluated on a scale from 1-9 for different criteria. 1-3=Non Mastery 4-6=Near Mastery 7-9=Mastery The rubric below will explain the requirements

Draw familyI was not able to draw my family. I followed instructions, but had a difficult time staying on task and had to be reminded at times. I followed instructions and was able to draw my family. Label family members I was not able to label my family members. I had difficulty labeling my family members so only some was labelled. I had no problem with labeling my family members. Create family treeI was not able to create a family tree. I had difficulty creating my family tree so it was not completed. I followed instructions and was able to create my family tree. Label family treeI was not able to label my family tree. I could not manage to label all the members in my family tree. I had no problems with labeling my family tree.

Conclusion By the end of the week you should be able to define family. You should also be able to accurately label and name each members of your family.
