1. Eat lots of food that is good for the brain and much less food that is not good for the brain.

2. Drink plenty of water and avoid fizzy drinks.

3. Get plenty of exercise, especially exercise which makes your heart beat faster.

4. Get plenty of sleep.

5. Do not smoke cigarettes, take drugs or drink too much alcohol Some drugs are medicines and these can help us to recover when we are ill.

6. Prevent injuries to the brain by protecting your head.
