Dual Enrollment

First Time in College (FTIC) Board of Governors: Regulation FTIC freshmen are defined as students who have earned a standard high school diploma from a Florida public or regionally accredited high school, or its equivalent, and who have earned fewer than twelve (12) semester hours of transferable college credit since receiving a standard high school diploma or its equivalent. Includes students applying with any dual enrollment credit during high school, even those concurrently earning an AA degree and a high school diploma.

Required Documents Application and Fee (both submitted on-line) High School transcripts ACT/SAT test scores (REQUIRED OF ALL FTIC STUDENTS) Official transcript from Valencia once the degree is awarded/posted Official copy of other Test Scores (AICE, AP, IB, CLEP)—if applicable International documentation—if applicable (permanent resident alien card)

DirectConnect to UCF Guarantee With an earned AA or articulated AS degree from Valencia, you are guaranteed admission to UCF (consistent with university policy), BUT not necessarily for the term of your choice. What to expect: Students who are competitive with relevant FTIC admission criteria (example for fall 2013 on the following page), may be offered admission for fall term (if that is the term requested) Students who are not competitive, may be offered admission for either summer or spring.* Enrollment deposit is required (applied to first term tuition) Attend freshman orientation Junior standing for academic and financial aid purposes Students who earn an Honors AA degree at their state college as part of a dual enrollment program and are admitted at UCF as a FTIC are not eligible for this agreement. They should apply for the University Honors program as a FTIC. Contact Burnett Honors College for more information. * Send high school and college transcripts as soon as graduation date is posted.

Dual Enrolled Students Dual Enrolled Students Graduating from high school and earning AA concurrently Considered FTIC for admission, scholarships, orientation and housing— SUS Board of Governors’ definition Apply to UCF in the fall of senior year (Sept. – Nov.) Provide official high school transcripts AND SAT/ACT scores Provide State College transcripts—2.0 or higher GPA Adhere to freshman admission deadlines Will be considered for FTIC scholarship with submission of admission application (not eligible for Transfer Scholarship) After Graduation: Provide official high school and your state college final transcript
