COURSE SELECTION SHEETS GETTING READY FOR HIGH SCHOOL!!

BEFORE YOU BEGIN….. Print your first and last NAME on your course selection sheet! In the upper right corner, write which ENDORSEMENT that you are interested in: Arts & Humanities Business & Industry Public Service STEM Multidisciplinary

FRONT SIDE: THE 4 CORE!! English 1 (select regular or Pre-AP) Math If you are in regular math, select Algebra I If you are in Algebra I, select Geometry (regular or Pre-AP)

THE 4 CORE!!! Biology (select regular or Pre-AP) Social Studies Select WORLD GEOGRAPHY (regular or Pre-AP) World History is a 10 th grade class AP Human Geography is an ELECTIVE and does not satisfy your SS graduation requirements

IMPORTANT INFO As a freshman, you need to take care of these requirements for graduation: PE credit Fine Arts credit World Language

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (ONE CREDIT REQUIRED) PE Personal Fitness Principles of Dance ROTC Aerobic Activities Outdoor Adventures Marching Band (semester 1) Cheerleading/Drill Team (Approval required) ***You can circle the athletics that you are interested in, but these sports REQUIRE TRY OUTS (ONLY EXCEPTION: football). ***

FINE ARTS (ONE CREDIT REQUIRED)  Art  Band  Choir  Orchestra  Theater  Principles of Dance **The ONLY class that you take in middle school that would count as a Fine Arts credit is Art I. **

WORLD LANGUAGES *TWO years of the SAME foreign language required for graduation!  Spanish  French  Latin  German *If you will complete Spanish 2 this year, consider taking Spanish 3!!

OTHER ELECTIVES You will have a total of 7 classes in high school. If you have space, choose from the other electives! Be aware of the semester classes…you will need two of those (two semesters). Be sure to add ALTERNATE electives in case certain classes are not available.

COURSE REQUEST SHEETS ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, JAN. 15! Ms. McClay will be visiting with you during your Social Studies class next week to have you input your courses in on the computer, but you MUST have your completed & signed paper course selection to do so!!!
