Loxahatchee Watershed Permit Application Early Notification System Mindy Parrott Supervisor- Environmental Analyst September 29, 2008

Summary  The Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council (Council) requested that the District provide information on applications within the Loxahatchee River Watershed.  The District developed a Geographic Information System (GIS)- based notification process to alert staff and the Council.  and the SFWMD ePermitting website are used to deliver information to the Council in a timely fashion.

How it works  All permit applications to the SFWMD are mapped into the GIS system within a few days of receipt.  If an application falls within the Watershed, an is sent to staff and Council members with basic application information and map showing the project location.  All documents related to the application are scanned and posted to our ePermitting site:  Click on the “hyperlink” in the to go directly to the site.
