Systems Request  Create a database for Recipes and Mixed Drinks  Create a web-based interface that interacts with the data  Create a public website that dynamically publishes the information and allows user’s to provide feedback

Company Background Cocktail stuffers is a local pub that offers a wide variety of food and drink. Originally founded in 1980, it has since become a popular favorite among locals. We provide a unique atmosphere of both classic and modern décor, and the best music in town. Come join us! We’re open every evening from 6pm to 2am!

Mission Statement Cocktail Stuffers is dedicated to:  Providing the highest quality in food and drink services  Providing the best music entertainment in town  Providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere

Problem Awareness  Paper-based recipes for food and drinks  Cooks and bartenders require faster access to recipes to meet demands  No efficient way to store new recipes or update existing recipes  Lack of feedback on the most popular recipes

Business Needs This project has been initiated to:  Improve the overall quality of service  Improve the efficiency of operations  Improve the consistency of recipes  Provide a method for tracking popular recipes Allows management to plan ahead when ordering supplies  Provide a source of information that can be shared between establishments/franchises

Project Requirements  Create, Update, and Delete recipes  Track recipe ingredients Associated with product inventory system  Track customer feedback  Provide pricing for the food and drinks  Web based front-ends Intranet and Extranet  Export data To be used for creating store menus

Project Benefits (Tangible)  Increase our annual gross profit from $174, to $186, based on a 7.2% annual increase in sales  Reduce costs in inventory supply orders  Reduce the error rate in preparing food and drink orders  Reduce the cost in adding new locations  Estimated ROI of 33% in four years

Project Benefits (Intangible)  Ability to offer the same recipes at any location  Improve inventory management  Improve the quality of staff training  Improve the quality of food and drinks  Improve overall customer satisfaction  Increase in employee morale  Better promotion of the company brand

Identified Issues & Constraints  The system must be in place prior to adding the new location  All current recipes must be cataloged and added to the new system  The system should be easy to operate in low light and high noise environments  Development of the system will be done in phases Business - Intranet system Public - Extranet system
