Artsmark Award Artsmark was created to ensure that every child should have the opportunity to create, compose and perform as well as to visit, participate in and review extraordinary work. Artsmark Award helps schools to deliver a high quality arts and cultural education and provides an excellent way of demonstrating this to their communities and to Ofsted. Artsmark has been redesigned, by schools for schools, to make it relevant and straightforward. The new programme supports deeper connections with schools’ own strategies by making direct links to your school development plan and priorities in school

Critical friend visits Critical friends are experts in the education and cultural industries Deployed to support schools to plan and reflect on their arts and cultural provision. A school may choose when e.g. at planning and development, or evaluation stage.

Next steps 1)Register to join the Artsmark Programme 2)The fee for the new Artsmark award is set at two levels: a) £500 standard package which incudes: Artsmark Development day – this is a day of CPD for two members of school staff andwill be delivered by your local Bridge organisation. These events will explain your journey ahead, support high level planning for the arts and culture in your school and allow you to network with other schools in your areaBridge organisation Critical Friend visit – An education expert or cultural specialist will visit your school to help develop and stretch your schools arts and cultural objectives Critical Friend access to online tools and resources Levelling of your award (silver, gold or platinum) b) £800 bespoke package which incudes additional Critical Friend support and brokerage
