BRONZE SILVER GOLD Your influence as a subject leader
How will I use it? 1.If you are a GA member and are registered for the PGQM you can use the Audit Checklist and Self Evaluation Assessment documents as tools to help you identify aspects of geography that require further work; create an action plan and develop these action points independently of the award process. 2. Register to be assessed for the award and achieve validated Primary Geography Quality Mark status at Bronze, Silver or Gold level.
Completion of the PGQM Application Form (based on the self-evaluation criteria) is the basis of your submission for the award. You will also be asked to provide evidence of pupil work, planning and other relevant school information. If you decide to register and apply for the award Your Application needs to convey the story of the geography in your school and its impact on learners. What did you do and why? How successful was it and how do you know? What do others think about it? How inclusive is the process? Your school must be a GA member to register for the PGQM’GA member

Geography is fun and exciting and you learn about other countries It’s fun to learn new things and some countries are very different It’s fun to learn about the Earth and the atmosphere because you never know what you’re going to find out next. It’s about the Earth and how it’s changing It’s learning about the world, the different countries and climates I find it interesting because I could learn how to make the world a better place It’s interesting because it might be us that’s making global warming and we want to know what’s going on around the world so we can help. You get to learn about the earth, different countries and cultures, also what the world might be like in the future and how it will affect us Geography is learning about the world, how it works and looking after it Y2Y4Y6 Extracts from application evidence Halterworth Primary Gold Evidence of pupil ‘voice’ and of excellence and enjoyment
