ICE BREAKER SPEECH 14-15th May, 2015 Grades: 7= participation 8= Fair 9= Good 10= Excellent

Objectives To begin speaking before an audience To discover speaking skills you already have and skills that need some attention. Time= 3 to 4 minutes.

STEPS Introduce Yourself - Talk about yourself, your history, family, what excites you etc. Conquer your fear – Doing things that you’re scared of doing. Everyone is here to support you in this journey! Helpful tips - Avoid using notes. Have a speech outline and don’t memorize your speech word to word.

Topics Ideas Chronological- Where have you been all your life, what have you been doing when you were young, Did you move to another country, city etc.? Topical- How do you feel about your work, about your current environment, your family etc.? Common Thread- a volunteer work that you did that inspired you, your love to meet people got you to your current career etc. One Key Event- One key event in your life that changed you forever.. How I got here - We want to know how you got here..
