5. Who knows about the hiding place? Miep & Mr. Kraler

6. Where is the secret annex? In the attic of Mr. Frank’s former business in Amsterdam

7. Why must everyone maintain absolute silence in the daytime? People are working on the lower floors – they could get caught

8. Why did they go into hiding earlier? Margot received a deportation notice, so they left the next day.

9. How does Anne make herself unpopular to the other occupants of the annex? Hiding things from Peter, teasing him Mr. Van Daan thinks she talks too much Spills milk on Mrs. Van Daan’s coat Bickering with Mr. Dussel (mop in bed, etc.)

18. What is Mr. Dussel’s opinion about the thief? The thief may be caught some day, and then he will make a bargain with the green police – they will let him go if he tells them where some Jews are hiding.
