 Most important person in life (activity)  Most important decision you will ever make  Time and time management

 Being in control of your life and having realistic expectations about your day-to-day challenges are the keys to stress management, which is perhaps the most important ingredient to living a happy, healthy and rewarding life -Marilu Henner  The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters - Audrey Hepburn

 Absolutely necessity -indispensable thing, essential  Priority - higher in importance  Can wait - delay action until a particular time or until something else happens  Delegate- entrust (a task or responsibility) to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself:

 Activity on prioritization…. home and work 1. Absolute necessity 2. Priority 3. Can wait 4. Delegate My journey…..

1. Pick things to delegate and don’t micro manage 2. Provide clear instructions 3. Empower your staff to not be totally dependent on you 4. Learn to let go and not second guess yourself 5. Create a system of feedback with your staff when assigning tasks

6. Keep the tasks open, allow members of your staff room to develop their own tasks, which will work toward the general goal of your school 7. Spend more time overseeing functions, rather than creating them 8. Friday - Get a head start on your next week! (activity) You can do anything but you can’t do Everything… David Allen

1. Makes work easier 2. Improves efficiency 3. Increase employee commitment and effectiveness 4. Develops employees 5. Ensures the right people do the right job

Right Task- if the task is very complex, be careful with delegation. If there is a great potential for harm if the task is done incorrectly, be careful with delegation. Right Circumstance - – the job descriptions, policies, and procedures within the organization will guide to whom and what can be delegated Right Person – Be mindful of job descriptions- Policies and procedures (determine what can be done and what level of personnel can carry out the task). Job descriptions – identifies job responsibilities Right Communication - Clear and concise communication is imperative. Task with clear expectations of what is to be done, why it is being done, and when the task should be completed Right Supervision - Checking on the progress of the task and evaluate the effectiveness

 The sure way to miss success is to miss the opportunity (Forbes).

 Before you can achieve success, you need to define what success means to you. Unless you have a clear vision of what success is to you, you cannot work towards it.  So…….. What does success look like for you?  Is it all ducks in a row? the picketed fence, children, marriage etc.  You and only you can define what success is. Take a minute and define success for you.

 Being willing to take risks and go the extra mile to achieve better things.  Admitting your mistakes, and learning from them.  Not governing your behavior based on what other people think.  Not staying in your comfort zone, fearing failure, and so avoid taking risks.  Being confident - confident people are generally more positive – they believe in themselves and their abilities, and they also believe in living life to the fullest.

 Activity…….  Where do you see yourself in a year? (short)  Where do you see yourself in 5? (long)  How do you plan to get there?  Jot down 3 things that you will work on immediately to help you achieve your goal.

 Let’s take your career as an example. What would your definition of success be for your career?  Then dig deep to see what are your own strengths and weaknesses.  Which would help you achieve it? Which of your weakness is a barrier, and does it go against your values?  Again knowing how and what to prioritize will be key.

 When defining your success, remember this important thing. Success is a journey.  It has multiple peaks, sometimes valleys and not one ultimate pinnacle.  One success builds on another.  Setbacks and mistake will also help you build success.  At different periods of your life, success is defined differently so think outside the box.

 Time management and priorities are key  Plan ahead and start early  Stay motivated/ stay focus  Be collaborative and build camaraderie
