Focus on Impact How to measure impact in a cost efficient way

What is impact measurement? ‘Measuring making a difference’ ‘Social impact measurement is the process of providing ‘evidence that your organisation - whether it is a social enterprise, voluntary or community organisation or traditional business - is doing something that provides a real and tangible benefit to other people or the environment.’ (SEEE 2009)

Why measure your social impact? Social Impact Assessment (business performance measurement) is important for a number of reasons: Accountability to investors, donors & stakeholders; Organisational learning; monitoring of operations in order to be able to adjust well in time; Gathering information for communication marketing and branding; et cetera.
