Research Paper Conclusion Paragraph

The conclusion should contain the following (not necessarily in this order): Restate the thesis (different words/mix it up) Mention the person’s legacy (how will he/she be remembered in history) Make the conclusion unified (tie into the attention getter)

What is the LEGACY?? A person’s legacy is how they are remembered by others. If your person is no longer living, what did they leave behind? What is the main thing they’re known for? If your person is still alive, then how do you think they will be remembered when they do die? This may mean making a prediction!

What is a unifying conclusion technique? (Tie into the intro) Look back at your introduction paragraph, especially your attention getter. Are there any keywords or ideas from the intro that you can use again in the conclusion? If you asked a question at the start, would it sound good to answer the question at the end? Or maybe ask the same question again? If you used a quote, is there another quote you can use that builds on the same idea?

My Mother Teresa Paper: My Introduction My Conclusion Compassionate. Fearless. Strong. These are words that describe one of the most admired women in recent memory, Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa is one person who answered a call and made a huge difference in the lives of thousands of the poorest people in the world. She was raised in a home that emphasized caring, but she left her home and family to become one of the most inspirational figures of our time. Mother Teresa, from a young age, seemed destined to do great things. Today, her story is still an inspiration to people who care about the poor. Compassionate. The poor of Calcutta were cared for and given dignity by the work of Mother Teresa and the nuns of her order. Fearless. She was not afraid to live among those who were sick and dying and desperate for help. Strong. She fulfilled her destiny by answering the call to help where she was needed most. She has left a legacy of caring that inspires people all over the world to this day. Blue=Keywords from intro used again Red=Thesis Statement restated Green=Legacy
