Stephen Sutton Discerning If you describe someone as discerning, you mean that they are able to judge which things of a particular kind are good and which are bad. The definition of attentive is paying attention to or being thoughtful of others. Stephen Sutton suffered and died from Cancer. He became a blogger and charity activist known for his blog Stephen's Story and his fundraising efforts for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity for the aid of teenagers with cancer. As of 16 September 2014, Sutton had raised over £4.96 million from over 340,000 donors, more than four times his target. Teenage Cancer Trust He could have given up and died without leaving a legacy; instead, he left behind his story and passion to support other teenagers suffering from Cancer.

“Two days before Stephen passed we talked about his legacy. He wanted to make sure that we remember him as the positive person he was and not as a cancer sufferer.“ - Grigorij RichtersGrigorij Richters

Mother Theresa – Attentive & Discerning Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. She is an icon of compassionate care for the poor and disadvantaged.

She worked with the poorest of the poor and through her charity, she loved those who were the most vulnerable. She worked in India most of her life and opened orphanage's, hospitals and nursing homes. She cared for people and recognised their spiritual needs. She won a Noble prize and donated this money to her charities for ongoing support which still runs today.

Despite the enormous scale of her charitable activities and the millions of lives she touched, to her dying day she held only the most humble conception of her own achievements. Summing up her life in characteristically self-effacing fashion, Mother Teresa said, "By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By faith, I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely to the Heart of Jesus."
