The EDGE Information and news that gives you an edge in the real estate business The October 2015 MLS statistics will be released this Wednesday, November 11, and here are some highlights of the report: Houston home sales fell 10.2 percent year-over-year in October, with a total of 5,873 single-family units sold versus 6,541 a year earlier. Months of inventory grew to a 3.5-months supply compared to a 2.8-months supply in October For perspective, housing inventory nationally stands at a 4.8-months supply. The single-family home average price was $271,648 while the median price was $205,000. Both figures represent record highs for an October. October rentals of single-family homes rose 4.1 percent year-over- year, while the cost of renting those homes was flat at $1,708.
