Look for: males have red heads, light gray sides, neck and breasts are black, bill is bright red; female has dark brown head and nape with whitish cheeks and forneck. Nesting area: Small numbers in Denmark, Germany, Rumania, Netherlands, and Czechoslovakia; more in France, Spain, and USSR. Wintering Area: South to Mediterranean, Black, and Caspian Seas

Nesting area: On islands or in dense vegetation near water's edge and with a tunnel approach; constructed of grass and leaves. Initial nest: During spring-summer of first year. When: May and June in the nesting area. Clutch size: 6 to 14 eggs Incubation: Approximately 26 to 28 days

The red-crested duck lives in lakes and gravel pits with reed-fringed edges.

The red-crested duck eats stems, roots, and seeds of aquatic vegetation.

The red-crested duck is not endangered because it is seen all year round.It adapted to survive in lakes and stuff.

The red-crested duck sounds like the sound like a bat. When a duck loses its feather it grows back after a week. When a duck hatches the female duck molts. That’s mostly about the ducks body system.

The red-crested duck digests its food by Eating is only part of the battle, though. To extract nutrients from food items, ducks and geese must be able to efficiently and effectively digest them. Just as with many other vertebrates, the digestion process begins with physical grinding. That’s all about ducks digestion.
