Korea Network Information Center 3 Status of Spam  Due to Internet abrupt expansion, there have been many types of Network Abuse in Korea –Hacking, Spamming, Virus spread & etc.  What is SPAM? –Generally unsolicited mailing –Usually to many people with commercial purpose  Why are they spamming? – ’s popularization because of Internet users’ exponential increase in Korea (Almost half of population) –Cost-effective marketing method
