 Pre Bell l-Time Writing—3 minute writing (Go to Edu Typing and click on Unit 1C Complete Time Writings and complete 3-Minute-Passport to the World—2 times)  Introduce Objectives and ask students how they use word processing programs (Classroom discussion).  Review the Word screen and show students the icons and screens.  Complete Word Processing –Pre Assessment- See   or go to Teacher Website  If possible, complete the exercise on your own computer with the window projected on a screen so that the students can follow along in the exercises. (See Word Windows )  Introduce and discuss Word Processing by using ICT DigiTools Book pages practicing part of the Word user interface  Have students to read pages 2-5 and complete key terms on page 2 in their notebook.(See Handout)  Teacher will introduce Unit 1 Reinforcement Lessons in Edu Typing Lesson 1.1 and 1.2 Home-row Review  Have students to begin Unit 1 Reinforcement Lesson in Edu Typing Keyboarding Lessons 1.1 and 1.2-at their pace-Differentiated Lessons  Wrap up lesson with a review using exit ticket question.  Homework: Create sentences with key terms ( 5 key terms nightly) Chapter 15

 Pre Bell l-Time Writing—3 minute writing (Go to Edu Typing and click on Unit 1C Complete Time Writings and complete 3-Minute-Passport to the World—2 times)  Teacher will introduce Les. 1-2 Moving Around In a Document and give purpose of the lesson.  Have students to read Lesson 1-2 pages 9-13 in textbook -Spotlight on Word Processing and complete guided and independent practice from pages 9-13 and Advance Groups continue in DigitTool Book Activity 5-2 Start a Book Report on page  Have students to continue Unit 1 Reinforcement Lessons in Edu Keyboarding Lessons 1.1, 1.2 and 2.1 and 2.2- at their pace-Differentiated Lessons  Group Activity and Differentiated Questions ◦ Have students listen while you call off a variety of arrow keys (i.e., right arrow three times, left arrow six times, up arrow one time, down arrow nine times) to see if they end at the same location. ◦ Have students listen and follow along while you have them type and undo and redo activities to show them how undo and redo work. ◦ Have students listen and follow along while you have them move around using the various ways learned in the lesson.  Quick Quiz: ◦ If I want to change the file location, will I Save or Save As?  Answer: Save As ◦ If I have already saved the file, and want to keep the same name, will I Save or Save As?  Answer: Save  Closure: Wrap up lesson with a review using exit ticket question Chapter 17
