Our Goal & Objective To create the most useful and dynamic web site for components, packaging and manufacturing professionals around the world... …increasing participation in CPMT programs and purchase of its products, thereby increasing the Society’s revenue stream, and satisfaction of the professionals using the site.

Introducing the Web Development Team Tim Adams (Chair) –Marketing Communications Manager & Corporate E-Business, Dow Corning –Over eight years working with the ECTC Program Committee Paul Wesling –Current CPMT Society Webmaster and VP of Publications Ralph Russell –Strategic Director for Global Chapters and Membership Connie Swager –Strategic Director for Marketing Marsha Tickman –Executive Director for the CPMT Society Kristine Martin (Potomac Communications Group) Brian Meeley (Potomac Communications Group)

Short Term (2003) Projects Develop and finalize a strategic web plan Enhance the current search engine Develop a business model to allow for Web sponsorship revenue Update volunteer resources on the existing site (fact sheets, logos, etc.) Continue benchmarking other Web sites and developing appropriate criteria for the CPMT site

2003 Enhancements Planned Phase III : Update Design & Layout of CPMT Home –Based on learnings in phase I –Improved “first impression” –Dynamic content on Home Page –Professional Image –Increase usage and activity

Long Term Incorporate a master events calendar that includes all conferences, chapter events, workshops, etc. that will allow for quick and easy updating by the volunteers Create a “My CPMT” side of the Web site requiring log-in information – give permission to view, edit, or add information based upon visitor/member/volunteer status and user preferences Offer a secure opt-in distribution list feature to increase communication to the profession and among volunteers Implement a business model to allow for Web sponsorship revenue

Become a Strategic Partner Your input and contributions are invaluable. Survey questions are posted on the CPMT Web site at Provide us with your additional thoughts, concerns, etc. The survey will also be distributed to chapter leaders, TC chairs, and others requesting their thoughtful input. Encourage your colleagues to participate.
