Lesson Learned 1)To depend on God 2)To be obedient 3)To be thankful 4)Don’t complain

After the 10 plaques, the parting of the Red Sea and getting Manna and Quail from God. The Israelites knew that nothing is impossible for God to do. Right? They would start trusting God from now on. Would they? Discussion

The Israelites continued their journey in the desert, guided by the two pillars of clouds and fire. They felt thirsty....They searched the desert but they did not find a drop of water and started to get very thirsty. What do you think they did? o Depended on God and prayed ? o Was thankful ? Complain AGAIN !!

Exodus 17:2-4 The people said to Moses: “Give us water, that we may drink.” So Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?” The people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!”

Exodus 17:5-6 The LORD said to Moses: “Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river The LORD continued...Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”

Moses obeyed the Lord and struck the water People rushed to drink. Thousands of thirsty people quenched their thirst and their cattle What else did Moses do with his rod? Casted it on the ground and it became a serpent. o Casted it on the ground and it became a serpent. o Changed the water into blood. o Parted the red sea.
