Exodus 16 2 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

Exodus 16 3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by Yahweh’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

Exodus 16 4 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

Exodus 17 1 The whole community of the Israelites traveled on their journey from the Desert of Sin according to Yahweh’s instruction, and they pitched camp in Rephidim. Now there was no water for the people to drink.

Exodus 17 2 So the people contended with Moses, and they said, “Give us water to drink!” Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you test the Lord?”

Exodus 17 3 But the people were very thirsty there for water, and they murmured against Moses and said, “Why in the world did you bring us up out of Egypt—to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?”

Exodus 17 4 Then Moses cried out to Yahweh, “What will I do with this people?—a little more and they will stone me!”

Exodus 17 5 Yahweh said to Moses, “Go over before the people; take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile and go.

Exodus 17 6 I will be standing before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you will strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in plain view of the elders of Israel.

Exodus 17 7 He called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the Israelites and because of their testing Yahweh, saying, “Is Yahweh among us or not?”

John 6:29-35 29 Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

John 6:29-35 30 They answered, “Show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What can you do?

John 6:29-35 31 After all, our ancestors ate manna while they journeyed through the wilderness! The Scriptures say, ‘Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”

John 6:29-35 32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven.

John 6:29-35 33 The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

John 6:29-35 34 “Sir,” they said, “give us that bread every day.”

John 6:29-35 35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Psalm 118:25-26 “Save us we pray, O Adonai O Adonai, we pray, let us thrive! Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai! We bless you from the house of Adonai.”

John 7:37-39 37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

John 7:37-39 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

John 7:37-39 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jeremiah 2:13 “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”

John 7:37 & 38 …“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

Isaiah 55:1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Revelation 21:5-6 5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”…I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
