Chairs are for GROUP work:  At the beginning of class, and generally, do NOT sit in the chairs unless you have been assigned to do so. (currently JaKevia, Randy, & Ontarious)  Do NOT sit on my stools without permission Chairs are for relaxed seating during reading time:  If you sit in a chair, do so quietly.  Never sit in a stack of chairs (it breaks them)  Stack your chair back up when time is over. Match chairs so they stack properly

 On a piece of paper write a question that you still have about the test.  If you do not have any questions, write a fact that you think other students need to know to do well on the test.

 You MUST write on the test. Circle the letter of the best answer. If you have to change your answer, put an X over the wrong letter and circle the entire correct answer.  Answer ONLY 10 questions today. You pick which 10. Answer some hard ones and save some hard ones for Monday.  When you have answered 10, turn it in face-down in the tray.  Then read. You may go to the library if you follow procedures.

 Compare poetry to prose.  (prose is every type of writing that isn’t poetry)  How are the two similar? (For instance, they both use literary devices.)  How are the two different? (For instance, poetry relies on literary devices, while prose uses them less often.)  Which one do you prefer to read? Why?  Which one do you prefer to write? Why? p.s. Have you written about narrative verse?
