G.O.E.S. – Good on Emergency Situation Introducing the Project Bruxelles, 17th December 2010 Survey of the event by road operators using computer technology like rugged computing devices (e.g., palmtop, tablet and handled computers) to exchange information from the central operational rooms to the operators and vice versa Analysis of received information by an expert system and validation; transmission of the relevant information to the operative rooms of the civil protection and to drivers and companies of public transport and stakeholders. Storage of relevant events geo-referenced in a database connected to a digital mapping system. Spain: the system will be tested in the Municipality of Valencia (Area 232 km 2 and inhabitants). Bulgaria: the system will be tested in the Municipality of Sofia (Area km 2 and inhabitants).

G.O.E.S. – Good on Emergency Situation Introducing the Project Bruxelles, 17th December 2010 Once the system connection has been created it will be used to convey other information coming from the whole territory, not only from the roads. Staff will be continuously trained. Identification of a senior person who is able to continue operations even if there is staff turnover. The Province annual budget will incorporate sufficient financial resources for the maintenance of technological systems (web, software, device, server, etc.).
