Increase of know-how level of the TSS experts Improvement of cooperation and co-ordination between the TurkStat and other administrative units (main providers of statistics) Better availability of and faster access to statistical information Production of statistical data which is comparable with EU norms in certain areas Strengthening of institutional capacity Improvement of quality of information and indicators in statistical areas

PRIME MINISTRY REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TURKISH STATISTICAL INSTITUTE Foreign Relations Department Projects Group TurkStat 28.11.2015 grant implementation within USST II Training Grant (TG) within USST Phase II; Contract signature in December 2006 Implementation period: January 2007 - July 2009 Objective: to improve technical knowledge of the TurkStat experts through participating in the training activities As of September 2008; 819 experts participated in 113 activities 603.268,95 Euro has been spent from the Grant budget of 1,7M€ until now

Implementation period: January 2007 - December 2008 Objective: to provide assistance in improving the production, collection and dissemination of statistical data As of September 2008; 210 experts participated in 145 Eurostat meetings; 24 training courses; 3 study visits; 10 traineeship programmes 14 data collection projects have been implemented. 512.586 Euro has been spent from the Grant budget of 1,1M€.

PRIME MINISTRY REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TURKISH STATISTICAL INSTITUTE Foreign Relations Department Projects Group TurkStat 28.11.2015 implementation of MBP grants MBP 2006 Grant Programme; Contract signature in December 2007 Implementation period: January 2008 - December 2010 Objective: to continue the allocation of support to the beneficiary countries with the same aims of Phare 2005 programme. As of September 2008; 4 experts participated in 3 Eurostat meetings; 1 expert is continuing traineeship programme. 8 data collection projects are to be implemented. 14.181,73 Euro has been spent from the Grant budget until now.
