Male? Female? or both?  What do you think a suitable rating for this film would be? 12/ 15 / 18  What was your favourite part about our trailer? Please comment:  Are there any ways you think that we could improve our trailer? This is the questionnaire our groups made to give out to the class so we could gather feed back from our target audience ( m/f 15/25) the question air was 9 questions based around our trailer. Is was made up of open and closed questions so we could find a range of answers with additional thoughts and feed back. To the right iv taken some pictures of how the question air was laid out with tick boxes and section to write your answer. the picture below that is of all the questionnaires that got filled out and ready for the results to be looked at. We used certain questions that would allow use to have number evidence for example ‘8 out of 9 people enjoyed the trailer ‘ and other questions more to do with their opinion. This allowed use to make changes and take their thoughts into account

Results from questionnaire These are the results from the closed questions on the questionnaire. I simply just counted up through each sheet and put the results into excel. We used a questionnaire to find out more about our trailer and to see what our selected target audience think. We used both closed and open questions so we could find out more statistical questions and get more of a personal response. The image to the right shows the results from most of the questions. This information told use that our target audience enjoyed and understood the story line. Everybody rated the film highly with no one under a 7 out of ten. The genre from our trailer was thriller but I feel it was more of a crime thriller, and this wasn’t an option on the questionnaire but 5 people ticked both boxes so I feel we should ether look at the genre closely and change it to crime thriller due to all the other crime related promotion. Everyone found the editing and camera work clever and exiting, which was really good because a lot of time was spent in editing. Our target audience was aimed at both genders and this was clear from the class feedback. In the end we decided to rate this film a 15 and most people agreed with us, we thought about making it an 18 but it would of been hard to shown and take away from the narrative

Results from questionnaire  The other feedback we gather was from the open questions and this let us know more about what each person thought in certain areas with In the questions. One of the main things that came though in these answers was that people really enjoyed the editing and thought it was professional and clever. In the comment section for editing the audience picked up on a lot of the effects we used and said it was ‘stylistic and post modern ‘ which is great. The most conmen answer for the favourite part of the trailer was the beginning sequence, I feel this was because it created an intense thrilling feel and grabbed the audiences attention, which was exactly what we wanted to achieve.  The last question on the sheet was for any improvements to be made to the trailer. We got a range of different suggestions. A lot of these were what we had planned to do but in the couldn’t or ran out of time. For example for the gym scene someone said you should of used a real gym and that’s what we had planned to do but could due to a smashed window. Another thing people mentioned was the voice over was sometimes being drowned out by the music, which I spotted but was too late to change. This was the same with the fight scene, a lot of people said it didn’t look realistic enough and could of done with some more slow motion even though we used time rapping I don’t think we used enough. Overall the response was really good and as a group were really pleased with the results.

Social media These are screen shots from when Munya uploaded our trailer and asked for people’s honest feedback. This gave us an idea of what the rough target audience thinks about our product because he's is 19 and his friends groups on face book is mostly 16 to 20+ male and female, which is our target audience. By using web 2.0 we were able to do some peer evaluating and found that most people liked the trailer and said it had good cinematography but we also got some useful structured criticism and this included stuff like the titles were a bit cheesy and slightly amateur acting which is all miner stuff considering we didn’t have any money. The advantages of using social media are being able to just put your products out on the internet so everybody can see and depending on what it is, in this case a trailer, you'll find that certain people that are interested in the same things could give you feedback and this will promote your product and get it well know. For example Vimeo, YouTube and IMDB.

Interim Feedback The first interim feedback we received was from our class mates in the pitch we gave to the class. In this presentation we talked about our ideas so far and some general information about the trailer. At the end of the video the class give their feedback and this was very helpful in the earlier stages when developing our idea because it allowed us to get someone else's views on what we were doing. After that we received short check ups with our teacher let them know ho our idea was getting along. This helped us to step back and explain what we were doing so we could think about it as a group. We then had group meeting to sort certain job rolls and work we had to do this mad it easier and split the workload. After each time one of us or the group shot something we would sit round together and go through each clip marking it green orange and red to decide weather we were going to use it or not. By doing this it got all of us thinking of different ideas and in these sort meetings a lot of our final ideas were made. During editing Stu would come over and ask about the trailer, our ideas, what we still had to do and help us with any editing this was a great help because we would always be learning news ways to doing something in Premiere. The biggest change we made through these interim reviews was to add a voice over to help push the narrative and inform the audience. It was near the end of the project when we decided to have this idea of a therapist talking to the main character and I feel It had a really good impact on the trailer
