No Anxiety Right Purpose Right Faith Right Focus

Worlds Apart! 1 John 2:15-16: “Do not love the world nor the things in the world . . . for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.” James 4:4: “You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 3:15-17: “This wisdom is earthly, cnatural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.”

God is Gracious & Generous! Hebrews 11:6: “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Matthew 6:6: “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Seek God, not food! Hebrews 11:6: “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”

Increase your faith, Don’t worry! Romans 10:17: “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Philippians 4:6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

You can get rich, but . . . Proverbs 10:22: “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.” Luke 12:20: “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’” Deuteronomy 8:18: “But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth.” Psalm 37:25: “I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread.”

You have to fight the flesh! Matthew 26:41: “Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Sleep w/out anxiety . . . Psalm 3:3-6: “But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the Lord with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me round about.”
