1 Ephesians 3:20-21

2 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

3 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles ' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42

4 Supplication 1. A petition to God. Also used by those in the Bible who made supplications” to a earthly king. 2. Also called a request or appeal. We appeal to God for our concerns as He is the only one who can address them.

5 Supplication If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty, Job 8:5

6 Prayers 1. A humble request before God. 2. A prayer can also be seen as a type of wish. A person “wishes” something could be a certain way, etc.

7 Prayers Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 1 Peter 5:6

8 Intercessions 1. A prayer on the behalf of another. 2. These are the types of prayers used when praying for the sick.

9 Intercessions "Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you. Jeremiah 7:16

10 Thanksgiving 1. Giving thanks to God. 2. Used for blessings that are given to us.

11 Thanksgiving For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 1 Timothy 4:4

12 Then Simon answered and said, " Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.“ Acts 8:24

13 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin Psalm 51:1-2

14 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

15 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

16 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:15-16

17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:17-18

18 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

19 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.“ 1 Peter 3:12

20 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.“ Matthew 11:28-30
