Important Things must be Secured n (Matthew 27:65-66 NKJV) - “Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” {66} So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.”

Important Things must be Secured n What is really important to you?

Important Things must be Secured n What is really important to you? n When something is important, I want quality. When it is unimportant, give me the cheapest that requires the least effort.

Important Things must be Secured n Jesus has told us the only way to be His disciple is to make Him the focus of your life. (Lk 14:26-27, 33)

Important Things must be Secured n (Luke 14:26-27 NKJV) “”If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. {27} “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”

Important Things must be Secured n (Luke 14:33 NKJV) “”So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n Everything flows from the heart! (Mt 12:34-35)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Matthew 12:34-35 NKJV) - Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. {35} “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Is Your Heart Secure? n Where is your focus? Be honest! (Mt 5:8; James 4:8-10)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Matthew 5:8 NKJV) - “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n (James 4:8-10 NKJV) - “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. {9} Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. {10} Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n We must first be crushed by repentance.

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Acts 2:36-37 NKJV) - “”Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” {37} Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?””

Is Your Heart Secure? n If we do not, we will be religious but with hardened hearts. (Heb 3:8,15)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Hebrews 3:8 NKJV) - “Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,”

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Hebrews 3:15 NKJV) - “while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.””

Is Your Heart Secure? n Satan wishes to clutter and confuse your hearts so you will not turn to God. It is very easy to do this if you let him. (2 Cor 4:4)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (2 Corinthians 4:4 NKJV) - “whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n (2 Thessalonians 3:5 NKJV) - “Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n How often do you take your cares to the Lord and by faith truly find the burdens of you heart lifted? (Phil 4:6-7)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV) - “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; {7} and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n Do you have sincere love for other Christians? (1 Thess 3:12-13)

Is Your Heart Secure? n (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 NKJV) - “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, {13} so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.”

Is Your Heart Secure? n Are you really protecting your heart? Is it important to you?
